Stunning chessboard made with Spalted Maple, dark blue epoxy and Walnut. The maple endgrain squares were individually glued to a 1/4” MDF base. Once laid out, the spaces between each square was filled with liquid glass deep pour epoxy mixed with Ocean pigment. A Walnut veneer was added to the underside of the MDF base to match the border.
