Very cool chessboard made with Walnut, blue epoxy and a curly maple border. The walnut end grain squares were individually glued to a 1/4” MDF base. The spaces between each square was filled with a blue epoxy. Tthe border was made from highly figured curly maple and finished with high gloss polyurethane. A curly maple veneer was added to the underside of the MDF base to match the border and the chessboard was dropped into the border and attached with epoxy.
